Rediscover Communication

Well, ladies and gentlemen...
Yesterday I lost my job. Budget cuts. Or rather, the same dope-smoking corporate brain donors that dreamed up the need for the position in the first place awoke from their stupor and realized that these positions were unnecessary and quickly moved to rectify the situation. But fret not. I obtained a new position today. Same company, same desk. Doing mostly the same stuff. New department. And actually more interesting work. Enough people liked the software I wrote that they set it up so that I could continue my work for at least the next couple of weeks. I will continue to write the same type of programs that I have been writing before, but now I don't have the distractions of doing all the stupid crap I had to do before. So I am happy about that.
The downside is that it is most likely only going to be for a couple more weeks. That, and the workload won't be very high, so it will actually be a little boring.
I have yet to decide what I will do afterwards, but I think I will just accelerate the timeline on my trip back to alaska. But I don't know.
