Tonite I expirienced Mr Show "HOORAY FOR AMERICA"
i must admit i expected more from bob and david. Not so much more comedy, but a stronger political statement. A couple of the skits were classic (shampoo@customs, Hail Satan church). All of these were a blast for people who had never seen the show. But i've seen every episode a multitude of times, and it was just boring to me... when a song is played exactly like the album version, it bores me too. bob was stumbling on his lines... (i thought this was a tour)... i wonder why. david was a natural... completely comfortable on stage and with the audience.
I was seated next to a large gentlemen from Iowa. I asked him if he liked mr show, and he said that he was kinda there by default because someone skipped out on a ticket and his female companion didn't want to sit alone. He brought with him a peculiar scent. Almost like feces, but mixed with cheap deodorant.
