Hello one and all... I am glad to say I am done with school for the semester. I don't really know if I should be, as it only hastens the day that I have to figure out what I am going to be doing with the rest of my life. School has been a good place to hide from the future for 4, going on 5 years, now. Will grad school extend that hiding time? we'll see.
I am going to go see Ep2 this week, as my own stranglulation with school has been granted a momentary reprieve. But the interesting part is who I am going to go see it with.
Josh Morgan.
True to form, it was a bizarre experience. At 7:50 am on sunday morning the phone rings. I was only partially awake, and only registered the fact that the phone had rung, and then lost the thought as quickly as it came {what was I thinking about a second ago?}. My mom then called from upstairs saying the phone was for me. This is where it starts to get weird, because the phone is never for me. especially not at 7:50 am. anyhow, I jump out of bed and into pants in one leap, and run to get the phone upstairs. My mom stands there and mouths "josh morgan" as I pick up the phone. Turns out that he was heading home from work (for those who care- at mille lacs casino) where he was working nights. He is breaking up, because he was on his cell phone and coverage is spotty here. We got enough across to have him come to my house, and in about 3 seconds he pulls in the driveway (was he parked just out of sight sitting, waiting?) and proceeds to exhibit morganish behavior. He comes inside and plops (yes, literally plops) onto the couch and doesn't really say much. I have long since given up feeling awkward in these situations, as it is more of a dramatic pause than an awkward silence.
we just kind of chitchat about nothing, with liberally measured pauses, and then he says he wants to go see a movie, so Ep2 is a logical conclusion. He has already seen it, but is willing to go again.
Oh well.
I hope it is good. generally, overhyped movies are a disappointment (much the way that cd's are printed with the label "featuring the smash hit single "XYZ"" before any singles are even released on that CD- how orchestrated is that?), but the movie has met good reviews here, so I will try.
anyhow, I will go and stop bothering people.
